Well, at least she could see the handwriting on the wall.

At least it’s not just Charlie Brown who stinks at the game.

If there were no hits, and if she was pitching, how did the other team get so many walks?

Like we didn’t know that would happen. With the exception of Snoopy, they’re all hopeless.

I thought it was just CB. I guess not. Sad.

It’s an old saying. It means that someone can see imminent misfortune coming. In this case, PP can see how hopeless the team is after just one game.

Both teams got a lot of exercise, Charlie’s team running after the ball, and the other team running the bases.

Daniel chapter 5, in the Old Testament.

“Don’t go away mad, P. P. Just go.” I bet more than one team member would like to say that. People who bulldoze in, want to make changes without checking the territory, and then bulldoze out again when others don’t leap when they say “frog,” really get to me.

The key was “unearned runs”. In other words, Error on the left fielder, right fielder, center fielder, first baseman, shortstop, second baseman, third baseman, and the catcher – all on the same play!

Could have been a gargantuan pile of reached-on-errors. A walked runner is still an earned run.

this is a great comic. Charlie brown understands that this is his team and he has to work with it, no matter how bad it is. We can’t run away from our problems just because we don’t like what’s happening. Patty is a quitter; she should work to improve the team, not abandon it.

I often wonder if anyone who plays for the Phillies is realated to anyone on Charlie Brown’s team.
