    Every decision is hard in the last half of ninth inning, Charlie Brown. Especially for you.

    Linus, you could have picked a better time to drop that bomb. Was there anything wrong with before or after the game?

    @GROG!

    One of the team rules is that Charlie Brown must be constantly interrupted on the pitcher’s mound.

    Not necessarily. Baseball is always played for at least nine innings, regardless of who’s actually winning. It could be a complete blowout for the other team (say, 123-0), and they’d still have to play to the end of the ninth inning.

    If it’s the bottom of the ninth and they’re in the field,then they’re the visiting team and they must be winning or tied. If the home team is winning, there’s no need to play the bottom of the ninth. At least that’s the way I’ve always seen the game played and played it myself.

    Legaleagle48 is 100% wrong while BradyB66 is 100% right!

    The other rule is that Charlie Brown will have his clothes knocked off by that home run from the other team.

    @BradyB66

    Also, some leagues (including Little League) have a mercy rule which shortens a one-sided game to less than 9 innings.
