    Yeah … at this point the bird is pretty much Woodstock, but this is from (I think) 1966, and he didn’t get named until after the concert three years later. The original wasn’t in color, of course.

    The stories with the kids seem almost like a sitcom compared to the pure cartoon craziness of the Snoopy material.

    Yeah. I know what you mean. They really need to fix the color, because when they get to the 70s and get to the Woodstock we know, if he’s still blue there, then there must be a problem.

    The birds were still being colored blue when they appeared in the Sunday strips, so the colorist is right to do so here.
