    Charlie Brown’s puppy love for the little red-haired girl (never seen in the strip) is one of the most poignant aspects of Peanuts. We all have someone like that in our lives. They might not have been right for each other, but she will always be “the one who got away.”

    Maybe you’re thinking of Michael and Deanna of For Better or for Worse, she moves away but he meets her again many years later and they get married.
