If ever there is an iconic comic strip, it is Peanuts. What began in the funny pages in 1950 has developed into an enduring classic. Whether you're persnickety like Lucy, a philosopher like Linus, a joyous Flying Ace like Snoopy, or a lovable underdog like Charlie Brown, there is something to touch your heart or make you laugh in Peanuts.

They want £100 for the complete Calvin & Hobbes in my local ‘Forbidden Planet’ comic store.
There’s a lot to be said for Amazon…

I almost thought he had her this time,, too bad, poor ole Charlie Brown.

@ Johnny and Grog: I was thinking why does he have to run so far, if at all. And don’t let her know when. Yes. It’s a comic.
Right now I only have four ‘Peanuts’ books, copyrighted 1952, ‘56, ’57, and ’65. Had others, but was ’dumb’ enough to sell or give them away.

If you looked at a 1965 90 minute Green Giant commercial on YouTube which has a promotion for a Green Giant rag doll offer showing the ad in the Sunday comics, a part of this 1965 Peanuts Sunday comic strip is there.

Charlie Brown should just forget the football, and kick Lucy! See how far she’d fly!

You should have left her there all night, Charlie Brown.
That would teach her!
