If ever there is an iconic comic strip, it is Peanuts. What began in the funny pages in 1950 has developed into an enduring classic. Whether you're persnickety like Lucy, a philosopher like Linus, a joyous Flying Ace like Snoopy, or a lovable underdog like Charlie Brown, there is something to touch your heart or make you laugh in Peanuts.

Doesn’t the kid have parents to make sure the kid takes his daily bath??

@Packer12
In those days, in deeply rural areas, the “Saturday night bath” still held good for a lot of kids. Mom changed the sheets on Saturday morning and kids had a bath before going to bed at night. In between you were supposed to use the basin to “wash up as far as possible, then down as far as possible, and leave possible to chance.”

You would think that, of all people, Charlie Brown would be the LAST person to pick on Pig-Pen. (Oh, and Packer12, in one strip it showed Pig-Pen all cleaned up, just standing still, then…wait for it…WHAM! Instant dirty!)
