If ever there is an iconic comic strip, it is Peanuts. What began in the funny pages in 1950 has developed into an enduring classic. Whether you're persnickety like Lucy, a philosopher like Linus, a joyous Flying Ace like Snoopy, or a lovable underdog like Charlie Brown, there is something to touch your heart or make you laugh in Peanuts.

Anyone know the date on this strip? Looks like ’65. Amazing to think that skateboards were already around. I think Schultz, living in CA, was ahead of the curve here. Early on, the boards were pretty closely associated with surfboard culture, a way to have fun when the surf was poor.

The inspiration for Marty McFly.

Skateboards were indeed around in the ’60s. There was an episode of Get Smart from 1967 that featured Peter Robbins (the original voice of Charlie Brown) on a skateboard.
