    In other words, it’s an acquired skill, not something he’s born with.

    I’ve seen lots of grins without cats…on people, on dogs (you know that good big doggy grin). My cat never grinned at me, just a supercilious smirk. Like the night I got up at about 2 AM and stumbled out to the kitchen for a drink of water…forgot we even had a cat. He darted a paw out from under the table as I passed, and I darn near jumped straight over the table in my surprise!! He came out and sat down, cool as you please, and there it was—that smirk.

    @Jmodene (from yesterday)

    If I remember correctly from my old “Peanuts” books, Charlie Brown was the one who both introduced Schroeder to the piano, and Linus to his blanket.

    At least Linus wasn’t scared this time.

    It’s charisma. Snoopy has got it, other people don’t…

    The strips were written in an age of longer attention spans, fortunately. :)

    “The time has come,” the Walrus said,
    “To talk of many things:
    Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—
    Of cabbages—and kings—
    And why the sea is boiling hot—
    And whether pigs have wings.”

    I like Snoopy’s pearly whites.
