The same question keeps me awake at night. But its the ‘Macarena’, rather than ‘Chloe’.

Often helps to be too young to be familiar with it. Then again the Big Band era ended long before I was born and I have gotten into that so I’m a little familiar with some of the songs even if I don’t know the words (or for the purely instrumental, don’t know the piece all that well). Gotta see if I can’t get a copy of Glenn Miller’s rendition of Anvil Chorus. Had always associated that song with cartoons, typically Looney Tunes, so I knew it, then I heard it on Sirius radio a few years ago and his rendition just blew me away. A lot jazzier than what I was used to. And way more fun.

Which one, the 1927 show tune that saw heavy use up into the ‘60s or the 2013 pop song by some brothers boy band signed bu Simon Cowell? Never heard either or heard of either before today, but I’d rather here the show tune over the pop song. Having folks like Dinah Shore, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey and Louis Armstrong do covers of it sounds a heck of a lot better than listening to some song by one of today’s boy bands.
