    @Miny Boy

    …the Russian nuclear icebreaker Vaygach had already gone through and so it was tough to skate on open water…

    Is Linus is going to demand the return of the money raised?

    Linus, how do you expect snoopy to cross the ocean on less than a dollar?

    You’re on to something. Maybe Snoopy should’ve headed north and skated over the polar ice cap instead. Of course, he’d have had to negotiate his way through the USSR after that.

    Meanwhile, Schroeder still forgot Beethoven’s birthday.

    Schroeder is kicking himself for it. There is no need to pile on.

    So, Snoopy never did make it to France? No competing? This time it’s CB doing the happy dance. You don’t see that very often….have we ever? CB is not known for his moments of pure happiness in his life.

    Is there anything cuter than Charlie Brown’s smile in the 2nd panel?

    If anyone gets to take trip to California I can recommend the Charles Schulz museum in Santa Rosa..just off hi-way 101.
    It was the home to Schulz and his family for many years..Next door to the museum is the “Redwood Empire” ice skate arena.
    Dorothy Hamill and many other famous Olympians have their footprints in the cement out front..Inside are murals of Snoopy and other Peanuts characters all around as well as Sparkys’s personal hockey sticks in a glass case….
