   Maybe because that is not Woodstock. There are often a lot of other birds in this comic strip.

   Because this strip is dated 1966, and Woodstock didn’t appear until 1967.

   The blue birds of older strips slowly evolved into Woodstock, this one has the trademark crest of fuzzy feathers. Snoopy needed a sidekick but he was slow in arriving.

    Woodstock didn’t debut until about 1970, and this strip is from 1966.
