    The algorithm for calculating pi is very simple in binary, but it is very hard to convert binary fractions back to decimal.

    Machine code was a bad choice for a released product because it had poorer editing and exception handling , was locked to one version of one operating system, and could not be updated or upgraded because it was written in write only code.

    Machine code is great for only the simplest programs. Good luck programming anything more complex than an “app” for smartphones with machine code nowadays. (And yes, I know they don’t use machine code for writing apps.)
