An addicted Netsurfer who is never without her laptop. Pixel has a secret friend Digit, a mouse who hangs around PC's apartment and likes to dispense advice over the Internet. There is also Leo, a neighborhood kid who is also an inventor and Maxine, PC's love interest who dislikes computers. Also Virus the VW Bug.

Actually, it didn’t. That’s a misconception. The evacuations took place in the 1970s. The Superfund cleanup continued until only a few years ago. It’s still not truly clean. They’re just saying the toxic contaminants are sealed up well enough now. Sealed up, but still there.
