    nah, has nothing to do with that old document and number 2 on the tho shall not infringe. How dare a group of law abiding citizens stand up for such a thing. Poor little loony liberals and their high nose ideals. must blame someone. Just look who they put in office. Mr. Hype and blame student and master of Saul Alinkey, the Community Organizer in Chief, Obama. Why never let a crisis go unchallenged for political gain. Never mind that old crusty document in which we where founded. It does not help him and the loony liberal democrat party.

    I will take the NRA over this scare mongering idiot in congress any-day!
    Congressman Charlie Rangel
    “We’re talking about millions of kids dying — being shot down by assault weapons, were talking about handguns easier in the inner cities, to get th…”
    Got that? Millions are dying and being shoty oh my oh we must do something now oh my millions…..What an idiot! If the NRA is spending money it is to much. Just let the world know what an idiot these congress members are when it comes to gun control. No need for pay offs. Just show the stupidity!

    And the big banks, big insurance,, big oil, the American Bar Association, Koch et al, Soros et al, big unions, big biz, etc. In doing a little research, the NRA is a long way from being a top political contributor or lobbying organization. With all of the hype about the NRA I was a little disappointed.

    @mikefive

    could it be that the congress that opposes what loony liberals want are just representing what the people want and need in the bonds of the laws of the land as they are now? Or is that just too out there?

    @David

    sure, even if the lemmings going over the cliff is just another myth.
    But hey the anti gun movement has lost a lot of steam. There is no real crisis so the lame stream has moved on to hyping up something else.

    Clever but unrealistic. Lots of companies and unions have contributed much more money to the buying of congressional influence.

    @Adrian Snare

    No offense intended, Adrian, but you don’t want to bring your pepper spray to a gun fight.

    I don’t think the NRA supports gun rights for criminals, semi sane, or insane, and I think it was in Florida (not sure of the state here) the NRA had recommended stricter guidelines on Florida’s “stand your ground” law than the legislature passed.

    The NRA has turned crazy since I became a life member 50 years ago, but then there were no large groups of anti-gun crazies. This year’s boom in gun sales motivated by the latest demand for more gun laws boosted gun supplier profits and the number of guns in the hands of under-educated citizens.

    The NRA hasn’t supported “responsible” gun ownership for quite some time. From teflon coated bullets, to large capacity magazines, changing position on “background checks”, mostly supporting military style weapons, and unlimited access to PISTOLS and “short barrel” weapons like MAC 10’s, Uzi, and other easily concealed high capacity NON-HUNTNG weapons that are NOT “rifles”, La Pierre, and Carter (non Jimmie) before him HAVE made Nugent a more appropriate representative of the organization.

    As a gun owner, who supports the Second Amendment, and “rational” gun ownership, I see the NRA as one of my greatest threats, not advocate.

    @Harleyquinn

    Did the people who bought the guns you’re talking about buy them illegally?

    The NRA is 5 million Americans, Szep, many ogf them not gun owners. Gun owners are 100+ million Americans, or 50%+/- of the Voting Eligible Population. You mignt think on that before you do another moronic cartoon like this one.
