Just remember it was a battlefront of a war already in progress and still being fought.

    “True today more than ever”

Please explain. It seems that this has been this way since day one to me. Feel free to set us straight.

It’s almost as though you feel that the subject is unimportant, as long as you can discredit liberals and/or democrats.

When was the last terrorist trained in Iraq?
They are still being trained there, as evidenced by the continuing bombings.
Are small Iraqi girls being shot for going to school this week?
Didn’t we “help” Afghanistan first? Also, see above. Children are still being killed.
Any threat of Iraq invading Saudi Arabia this week?
When was there ever a threat of Iraq invading Saudi Arabia? Saddam would never have risked a war that would have possibly damaged Mecca, thereby angering the rest of the Muslim world without even involving us.
Is there an army that could invade Iran any where ?
Ours, Pakistan (if they so choose), Isreal, Turkey, China, Russia.
Many Moslem Brotherhood candidates in power in Iraq?
Not yet, but there may be, since they have a right to run with the dictatorship removed.
    Any Kurds gassed this week?
Not this week, but wait until they try to gain the rights as an independent nation again.

Wars are fought between the uniformed armies of two nations. Anyone who thinks of of suppressing terrorism in such purely military terms is missing the point. One of the main goals of terrorism is to provoke disproportionate responses from their targets.

You know, its an all volunteer army. If you guy had thought it through in the first place you never would have been caught up in the war.

Right you are! Look at what we’ve done to ourselves after 9/11. Soldiers killed and injured. $ trillions spent (between the military, Homeland Security, VA benefits, “rebuilding”). Less privacy.

I’m not saying we should have done nothing. But we certainly over-reacted.

And then caused more than some two million Iraqi Christians to move out of Iraq due to Muslim anger over our attacking them. What Christian brilliance from a religion whose founder stated that we should “Love our enemies!”
