He might have been a sweet child – who knows? One could allow that a lifetime with the CIA might adversely affect a man’s “cheery countenance”. After all, they’re dealing with the worst of the worst…the bombers, beheaders, and stoners of women. Not likely to brighten one’s world view. But (sadly) we NEED such men.
