"I think cartoonists should be like burrs under the saddle of some egomaniac, kind of gnawing away every day," says two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Szep. "I think the public likes cartoons because it gives them a vicarious pleasure that they normally can't get in any other way."

To which I reply with a comment from a Western, adapted to fit the case here=
Mr. Ima- you’re a bastard!
King of Me- yes. In my case, by birth. Yours, by choice.

Their credibility went out the window when they all signed a pledge aka pinky swear to Grover Norquist. Also when the right wing evangelicals & tea partiers hijacked the Republicans & ousted the more moderate members of their party. Now we have no consensus or compromise by the House holding up legislation to avoid the fiscal cliff.

Second that emotion.
.
And people, how about a New Years resolution not to rise to Ima’s troll bait screeds? That person thrives on being vile, so let’s not encourage that behavior, but instead reward an actual thoughtful contribution or opinion.

When they elected that crook Nixon, it was all downhill from there.

Pretty much. In 1960, Nixon turned the South on its head by telling them not to embrace a Northern Catholic. Republicans flipped from being the Party of Ike (who was more of a moderate) to using religion and racism to get their unpopular economic policies represented.

I know plenty of rednecks getting welfare and Medicaid that vote against their very own personal interest to “stop the blacks and queers” from taking over.

Liberals, always trying to silence those who disagree with them.
.
It’s no wonder moderators don’t pay attention to truly offensive posts. They’ve become desensitized to Liberals flagging posters just because they don’t like what they say.

Congress has an 18% approval rate. That isn’t ALL Republicans.
.
There are problems in both parties. Liberals always think they are so superior to everyone else.

Why do you keep referring to King of Me as “Damon”?

Yeah, I see what you mean about why Liberals hate the Tea Party.
They wouldn’t want a movement that advocates strict adherence to the United States Constitution, reducing government spending and taxes, and reduction of the national debt and federal budget deficit.
Can’t have that… That’s too radical.

Nixon was Nixon. The “Party” dissolved in 1980.
