Scott the point is the dems have a 2 party system within the party. The blue dogs got in because they were elected.Your party is a dictatorship no room for dissenters. You guys don’t want them to run. What are you leaders afraid of that they don’t allow dissent. If you aren’t comfortable with internal dissent then you aren’t freely making choices. That isn’t loyalty it’s laziness.

Jobs you say?….How about some real jobs that produce something other than sucking tax dollars from the public trough?
building machines, airplanes, hard goods, drilling for oil, allowing the farmers to farm in California.
without small businesses that employ the millions that got laid off the tax revenue decreases as does buying power in the general economy.. it would seem the enviro-nazis have been putting industry out of business for the last thirty years. this nation’s wealth and especially the middle class was built on these kind of jobs, not some imaginary green job that produces nothing but trouble for those who the real producers in industry.

Dirrane: what a delusional world you live in. Conservatives are the MINORITY within the GOP. The Demoncrats love to whine and cry and moan and stromp their feet, pretending the entire GOP is a bunch of right-wing meanies, but no one INSIDE the GOP is fooled by this.

That wishy-washy old fart John McCain is far more typical of the GOP than any conservative. Why do you think he won the GOP nomination last year?

The GOP needs MORE Conservatives if it hopes to win elections again. The GOP base has consistently proved that when the GOP offers us a “Demoncrat Lite” candidate, we simply don’t vote, or vote third-party. Voting Libertarian Party or Constitution Party may FEEL good, but it never wins elections (yet).

Reagan won two landslide elections for a reason. The man was openly Conservative, unashamedly so, and very persuasive both as to why he was, and why others should be.

I want people to have a literal choice. The whole “moderate” thing is a MYTH. It’s always left-wingers who set the standards (pro-life = not moderate, anti-gay-marriage = not moderate, etc etc), and intelligent people recognize that everything labeled “Moderate” always agrees with the vast majority of Demoncrat Party slash Left wing positions, while agreeing with NOTHING from the GOP slash Right Wing except MAYBE “less spending.”

It will be much better for the country, and for people realizing what WORKS in american society, if political races consistently boil down to conservative versus liberal. Again, “moderate” is always just a term defined by the Left, wherein a voter embraces the bulk of their positions, so it’s time for us to stop pretending otherwise.

I have no doubt that in a straight conservative versus liberal political climate, people would very soon recognize that the places which vote liberal end up with just two classes of people: the super rich, and the super-poor. The super-poor, of course, all dependent on the Government (paid for by high taxes on the rich) to survive, to feed them and house them and take care of them, or at best employed at large corporations earning at or near the minimum wage.

Conservative voting areas would be filled with middle-class people, and small businesses, and low taxes, and less job-killing regulation.

The Left (including the liberal media) only defines and uses the term “moderate” to keep the above contest between Left and right from happening. The Left is the home of bankrupt California, Oregon, Michigan, etc They KNOW they’d lose, and that people would flee the places they control in droves. IF most sheople weren;t so deceived by this “moderate” shell game the Left and its allies are playing on them…

Now lets be intellectually honest Murphy….NAFTA was implemented on January 1, 1994. ( I am assuming you are clear enough to understand that this relates directly to the job drain you seem so virulent about) Bill Clinton became president January 21, 1993, and remained president to 2001. It is considered by some to be one of Bill Clinton’s ‘successes’. How do you want it, a great success by the ‘international president’ or a failing? (read more about it, and you will find it was much less a success than the spin meisters would have you believe) So lets stop kicking President Reagan huh?

HOWSMYZIT, Feeling Feisty, are we ? No I didn’t answer your stupid question. It wasn’t worth a reply. But if you really wanted to know , its the Health Care Insurance companies that have their hand in all our pockets, and now it’s them that’s going to need Health Care.
Once we get those pigs off our backs, the country can recover.

It would be nice if republicans would pull in the same direction, instead of trying to prove that a Black man cant be president. Your party of NO is getting smaller by the day.
How long will you continue with your foot dragging ?
You have only yourself to blame. With bush, you cheered each time he cut taxes for the rich, you cheered when he deregulated all the rules, and the rich ran wild, you cheered at every war or threat of more war, did you ever think you’d have to pay for you foolishness ? No, you’re too arrogant, and stupid.
You believed that gasoline would be free, so you bought SUV’s and Hummer’s. Well your chickens have come home. But dont look back, cause that’s where you’ll find your mistakes. Just blame the guy that’s pulling your Tea Party Bus out of the ditch. The ditch YOU drove into.

Inasmuch as I agree that reducing unemployment without any asterisks* (an example, federal work programs putting people to work on tax payer funding) No matter, I had been addressing NAFTA, and although I am not a protectionist and would like to agree that it was not “a total messup”; in fact the very circumstances of our current dilema was spawned by it. Surely you have heard of the oft mentioned “service economy” which we in the US now subsist in.
    Thank you for your opinion
