"I think cartoonists should be like burrs under the saddle of some egomaniac, kind of gnawing away every day," says two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Szep. "I think the public likes cartoons because it gives them a vicarious pleasure that they normally can't get in any other way."

Not one Republican vote necessary…

No, he works against the public for the corporations.

Yes much better to have a Democrat like Rangel and others that work for the government–illegally.

Headline: Democrats want to make us all pay for abortions through nine months with their health care reform.

In 32 years it became very interesting how many “Republican” federal employees did indeed curse the government, while they did everything in their power to increase graft, spending, and the destruction of the system based on the Constitution, and work fervently against the public interest. Jim Watt was a near perfect example of the “give it all away to my friends, ‘cause Jesus told me to waste it” philosophy.
Neocons want government of the Corporations, BY the Corporations and FOR the Corporations. That is a simple fact.
The extreme “religious fundamentalists” seem the only ones fully ready to follow- the “Christian Taliban”. (People of faith are NOT the problem, but those who despoil the tenets of faith- are.)

dtroutma, you say that like it’s a BAD thing. You look out for your self interests and we’ll look out for ours. It’s the American way.
And don’t be bad-mouthing religion. It’s very effective at getting “people” to support the interests of the “corporations.” We just tell them that’s what Jesus wants. Works every time.

Szept’s cartoon says it all. Yes, NeoCon, the corporations know all the right buttons to push to keep a lot of the people in line.

I love how they spend their time vilifying Republicans-while they’re out of power; to serve as a cover-up for their own main goals being out of sync with the desires of the American People.

NeoCON: take your religious bigotry and shove it up your portfolio. SIDEWAYS.
I’m trying to think of even ONE time during my entire life where a corporation–or anything connected to one–tried to tell people “it’s what Jesus wants.”
Nope. Never happened. Not anywhere, at any time, to anyone.
You Godless leftists are so filled with hatred and bigotry towards religion in general, and Christianity in particular. And yes, NeoCON, there isn’t anyone here who doesn’t recognize you as being just another Godless leftist.
It’s you Godless lefties who are the brainless zombies. You’re jerked in all directions by politicians, the media, celebrities, junk science, any made-up fairy-tale that reinforces your Godlessness.
Meanwhile, Bible-believing Christians sail through life unmoved and unswayed by whatever cultural madness exists during any given era. We have Scripture to guide us; we don’t need politicians, or celebrities, or university professors, or anyone else to tell us what to think, or get us caught up in their temporal insanity. We have the rock of Christ to stand upon. Timeless, ageless, effective anywhere in the world, in any and all eras, now and forever, amen.
Because unlike you prisoners of whichever culture you’re stumbling through at any given time, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Oh, scottfreitas, you wound me to the quick! I am a true-blue conservative Republican and a Bible-believing born-again Christian washed in the blood of the Lamb! I agree with all that you say. Do not lump me in with these unwashed heathens who populate these pages. Let there be peace between us.

And Scott, might I add that:
“You’re jerked in all directions by politicians, the media, celebrities, junk science, any made-up fairy-tale that reinforces your Godlessness”
could easily be turned around on you. The teachings of Christ are just as readily abused by the Christian masses as justification for the most heinous of acts.
Kylop said, 22 days ago
a.c.d - Are you saying that the masses abuse the teachings or that a few abuse the teachings and then teach/manipulate/convince/something the masses?
The bulk of Christian people I’ve met -so this is limited to the ones I’ve talked to- seem to be trying to grasp what they’re taught and apply it. Its the ones who do the teaching that provide a direction or in some cases “interpretation” that varies from group to group. A couple of them seem to worship a very different God than the others.

Scooter says, “I’m trying to think of even ONE time during my entire life where a corporation–or anything connected to one–tried to tell people “it’s what Jesus wants.”– obviously never heard of Mormonism or Deseret industries. Well, or the Roman Catholic church, Inquisition, etc and the tax-free corporate businesses run by many religious organizations in the U.S. today.
I also find it interesting these folks never seem to recognize that many of “Christ’s teachings” are taken from the words of a guy named Sidartha who came out of India some 500 years before him and became known as “Buddha”.
“I come not to bring peace to the world, but a sword” is also one of JC’s lessons that all those “everyone else” hating followers seem to take to, with “vengeance is mine” aplomb.

@CDward They should have gotten rid of liberman a long time ago. Its like Ceasar stopping Brutus from murdering him and then keeping him by his side again.
@NeoconMan Your money is the thing that’s keeping the bible thumpers in line. Just mention homosexuality and guys like Stripper start foaming at the mouth.
@Dtrouma You seem to forget that the unchristians listen more to Pat Roberts and Benny Hinn despite what Jesus and God have said about these so-called representatives of either one.

Ah yes, legend, the old hypocrites preaching on the street corner prohibition, well aware of it. Today they have the electronic street corner, and share it with Rush et al. birds, feathers and such.
