Great drawing but the Pinocchio nose is getting a bit tired..
I think having McCain say something like “On to the next campaign stop” instead (or something similar), would’ve made this panel even better, the caption here seems redundant to me..

Szep’s caption is more than simply redundant, it’s superfluous to the point of destroying the thrust of his drawing, which is funny enough without distracting the attention of his audience. It’s a mustache on the Mona Lisa.

I agree, Pinocchio noses should be banned during campaigns. The handlers are a nice touch, but let’s face it, Szep just mailed this one in.
