    We can’t justify what Syria has done. We shouldn’t try.
    But we don’t need to keep rescuing other countries by going to war for them and then staying and occupying them forever after.
    I say No to any new wars!

    We hope the same thing, Mr. President.

    p.s. Does someone have a muzzle that might fit Harleyquinn? He’s kind of like the neighbor’s dog who won’t quit yapping; he doesn’t know what he’s barking at, but he just can’t (or won’t) stop.

    He has a dream that he can arm a proxy army (the Syrian “rebels”) with chemical weapons, and when they use said weapons claim that the Syrian government did it.

    Oh wait, that’s unfortunately not just a dream.

    Why Oliphant draw MLK’s mouth so huge ? Not flattering to his memory at all.

    So this cartoon MLK is a descendant of Uncle Remus?

    In truth, we should not go there. Every time we act militarily (especially in small countries that have neither attacked nor threatened us), even on supposed humanitarian grounds, we make things worse. If there is some response to the Assad regime, it must be from the international community.

    You’re so stupid it’s amazing the folks at the nursing home have not put you on the “do not revive” list.
    A low information demonRATic voter like you is too stupid to know that many of us have family and friends in the military are are being put into harms way for no good reason. Second, Obama is helping allies of the Muslim Brotherhood.

    Pity your nursing home can’t legally pull your plug.

    @JmcaRice

    If I recall correctly, Oliphant drew MLK in at least one unflattering way in the mid-60s. It was a cartoon drawn with a hippie-type opening an envelope, and the hippie said in the caption, “Drafted? Hell, I wanted to fight in the streets this summer!” A poster on the wall had MLK in an Uncle Sam pose as in the old Draft signs, pointing outward, with the words, “Join the Peace War. Martin Luther Wants You for a Daffodil.” Or am I confusing this with some other cartoonist? If so, I apologize. I had a clipping of this cartoon for years, along with others from Oliphant, as well as from Stayskal, Herblock, and Mauldin. All gone now.
    .
    Anyway, MLK was not always the untouchable icon he is today. I’m sure this one of the least unflattering ways he has been depicted.

    I wondered about that, too. Big mouth = Big voice = Big dream in contrast to Obama? Is Oliphant suggesting that big fights/wars are justified by big dreams? That without such a justification action against Syria is futile?

    Then, stop talking about specific red lines that shouldn’t be crosses “or else!”
