Yes, people lie. And, government oppresses. They are immutable laws of human nature.

Actually, the bribes to Karzai were chump change compared to a lot of the other war costs. (One war being necessary, and the other one ridiculous……..)

Several years back, I mistook an 8 printed by a dot matrix printer on my W-2 form for a 0.
I owed $8 in taxes and they spent more than $8 in postage threatening me.

“One war being necessary, and the other one ridiculous”

Neither war was necessary. The Taliban was ousted by the Northern Alliance, with the help of American air strikes & a few thousand Special Forces. We should have left the Afghans to fight or share power as they saw fit once Al-Qaeda was ousted.

Instead, Bush placed the ‘trusty’ Karzai in power & moved on to his real goal: Iraq. Obama made the typical Presidential mistake of thinking he could fix the mess.

We would all be better off if we ignored the trolls (Ms. Ima, HOWGOZIT, Gore Bane, onguard, ConserveGov, etc.) … all they do is spew the same one-and-two-line bulsit (misspelling INTENDED!!!!) on each page — rants that get under the skin of right-minded people … consider that either (1) none of them care any more than to hit-and-run like most who spray grafitti on any blank space, and don’t really care what anybody thinks, or (2) some right-wing/Tea Party sugah dadda pays them to spew this garbage, making them low-life freeloaders, just as they accuse everybody who actually employs actual thought processes before posting on the Internet.

I would be VERY interested to see a DD214 proving more than three months of honorable service from any of these right-wing trolls … but I expect that could never happen …

Just a couple of cents from a 20-year USMC (Ret) who earned a master’s degree in something other than a redneck agenda …

The IRS should get credit for auditing $Millionaire’s returns. The last report says they have collected $Billions because of unsupported Deductions.
A Flat Tax structure benefits the rich, but not as much as the current tax structure. Almost anything would be better than what we have, now.

Both wars were based on lies:

    (1) Saddam Hussein has WMDs.
    (2) Iraq was behind 9/11.

    (1) Home base of al-Qaeda.
    (2) Osama bin Laden is hiding there.

These 2 lie-based idiocies sucked $2,000,000,000,000 out of the USA that could have been spent on our own citizens, and then recirculated internally. Instead we let our own economy melt down so we could spread death and destruction elsewhere.

Back in 1960, the Israeli Mossad showed us, with Adolf Eichmann, how to nail a despicable, vile, butchering sociopath hiding in a foreign country: relentless undercover work and a special-ops raid by night. As it happens, that’s exactly what finally got bin Laden. The wars were just an utter waste of lives, money, and the USA’s once noble reputation for being an international force for good.

But Shrubney didn’t want covert action, but a ballbustin’ real serious American war toshow Al-Qaida who’s boss. BTW: Osama WAS hiding there, we dropped the ball.

Just when (and how!) does responsibility for the creation of a disaster switch to someone else? Does this mean that Bush & Cheney are now totally guilt-free? What a great system!

The largest corporations and their owners pay 0%-13% maximum tax depending on what they want to on any given year.
