This is the tenth anniversary of “Mission Accomplished,” so it’s appropriate to open his museum now. Imagine … if John McCain had won in 2008, we’d still have troops fighting in Iraq!

The best Oliphant in a while. Bitter as rue, and true. I was tired of guns and pope cartoons.

Appearing in an interview from Dallas on NBC’s “Today” show, Mrs. Bush was asked if she thought that Jeb, the former governor of Florida, should seek the presidency.
“He’s by far the best qualified man,” Mrs. Bush said, “but no.”
“We’ve had enough Bushes,” she said, saying “it’s not just four families, or whatever.”
The Bush family matriarch went on to say she thought there were many worthy candidates, telling anchor Matt Lauer, “There are people out there” who are qualified.

Well, I see Oliphant certainly hasn’t lost his touch. Say what one will about the person/subject, the cartoon certainly cuts right down to the quick. I think I’ll pass on visiting either of the “wings”, especially that Cheney one.

As memory serves, there was an “Oliphant” of sorts, back in the days of the Adams family Presidencies. His view of that “dynasty” was, if anything, even more damning; but then again, back in those days, we hadn’t been afflicted as much with “PC”, as we are now; and the print “media” were far less inclined to worry about what might be the responses to its productions. Then too, politics did tend to be much more “cut and dried” as to one’s “side” in controversy.

But, all in all, I’d say our Oliphant is still doing “A” work.

Right up there with “The Operation was a success, but the patient died!”
I have a neighbor who was on the Lincoln when shrub landed in his crotch-padded flight suit, and did the whole “Mission Accomplished” debacle.
Other then the hand-picked crew-members and officers on the flight deck, most of the rest of the 3000+ crewmen were below decks watching on the closed-circuit T.V. system, and laughing their butts off at how ridiculous shrub was!

Finally! Somebody “sees” Condoleeza for what she was (and Is). Great editorial cartoon – in the fullest sense of “editorial”. Thanks!

Wing-nuts can deny all they want, but the bloody and ruinous facts of the Bush Administration speak for themselves. Maybe that’s why the word “Iraq” was never mentioned in the opening.

I always referred to her as “Imelda lisa rice”. seemed appropriate as she was fond of shopping for shoes during national emergencies.

How much did Obama have to hold back? I thought he was very gracious in his comments. I’m sure Bush II was in the same mind set when the Clinton Library opened, but had he been invited then? Sometimes it comes down to respect FOR the office, not for the man IN the office!

    WORSE PRESIDENT EVER?

Well 9/11 happened on his watch.

    He tripled the national debt.

Started two unnecessary wars, against countries that had nothing to do with 9/11.

    He never got Bin Laden.

Never got the oil from Iraq.

Gave “No Bid” contracts to his friends.

Shot a lawyer in the face (Not that is a bad thing.)

Still, I wouldn’t call Dick Cheney our “Worse President Ever!”

So even you don’t want him! Funny, you can take that Republican Obama who is worse.

Wonder who’ll you’ll blame if you fail.
p.s. We all know the answer, so the question is strictly rhetorical.

I suppose the Kennedy’s would be one of the four families, that is until the Bush’s had them wiped out.
