The bill wasn’t even fully written yet, I guess we learned from the last time, not to vote on something before we learned what’s in it.

The bill is fully written and is S.649 It was consider by the Senate on 4/17/2013. The full text can be read at:

    http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/t2GPO/http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-113s649pcs/pdf/BILLS-113s649pcs.pdf

Click on “Continue to GPO Site”. it’s 44 pages-pdf. Another problem with this bill is the related bills: H.R.359, H.R.955, S.54, S.146, S.374, S.433, S.443. I suppose you would have to read all of them to fully understand what you would be voting for. Considering the current caliber of most of the people in Congress, I don’t see that happening.

What we learned is how insipid Republican talking points are. Never address the actual issue, instead attempt to elicit fear or hate. Whether the issue is affordable health care for the working poor or universal background checks, the talking point are non-sequitors.

GOP=Party of No. No reasonable action to deny rapists, thugs, criminals or terrorists easy access to guns!

I so much prefer rodents to senators! they are good Pet material and will listen to your problems. All senators and representatives are good for is to take from the poor and give to the rich, plus they can make people want to be against their own self interests!

ahab…do you really think that “rapists, thugs, criminals or terrorists” get their guns legally? no amount of laws will solve that issue. your point is “FAIL”.

Using your logic we should not have laws against stealing because criminals will steal anyway.

They could use the Senators to replace lab rats. The lab assistants wouldn’t get attached to them, and there are some things even a rat won’t do.

Decriminalize pot and the cartels become powerless.
