Hi GoComics readers,
Many of you have expressed curiosity and even concern about the comic hiatus for Pat Oliphant's drawings. We wanted to share that Pat is doing well, in good health, but simply on vacation. As soon as when we have an update on the date of his next drawing, we'll share the news here and via social media.
We have wonderful readers. This is an example of the impact that an artist and their work can have on lives and we will continue to value that relationship with you. Thank you.

Any Republican senator who beat Chuck Hagel to the realization that the invasion of Iraq was a gigantic mistake has a right to criticize him. The rest should just STFU.

Yes, and he changed his mind once he had actual facts, which the Bush administration didn’t want to provide. Two good books on Iraq, which I doubt many conservatives have read: Fiasco, and Prince of the Marshes.

I think it’s very telling when McGrumpy says that Hagel would have been a good choice for HIS Secretary of Defense!
Of course, if a Democrat wants him for the EXACT same job, well then, he’s totally unqualified!
Yeah. Right.
Time for McGrumpy to retire to Arizona, and take up his new job, yelling at those kids to stay off his lawn!

Accurate image for the sentiment, but honestly all those Repub senators actually stabbed him in the stomach, like a prison shiving.

Just because a person is an old friend does not mean that person is suited for every job. Case in point.

Politics is a strange thing. It makes someone like hillary socially acceptable where otherwise she would be a fat unemployed bitter woman.

Speaking of being stabbed in the back, ask McCain about ol’ Chuck’s support when McCain was running for president.

Ok how was he stabbed in the back? How do we know that those Senators where not speaking their minds?
