Hi GoComics readers,
Many of you have expressed curiosity and even concern about the comic hiatus for Pat Oliphant's drawings. We wanted to share that Pat is doing well, in good health, but simply on vacation. As soon as when we have an update on the date of his next drawing, we'll share the news here and via social media.
We have wonderful readers. This is an example of the impact that an artist and their work can have on lives and we will continue to value that relationship with you. Thank you.

Called "the most influential cartoonist now working" by The New York Times, Pat Oliphant occupies a unique position among today’s editorial cartoonists: Widely considered the dean of the profession, he is one of its sharpest, most daring practitioners.

I can’t stand that silly smirk of his. Down there, Mitch McConnell would probably be considered management material.

This is way over the head of many,Mitch is willing to make a deal with the devil to keep us from going over the fiscal cliff. That is what this toon is about

Looks like Mitch is giving Scratch the thumbs up!

@Tigger
Sadly, Turtle-Boy’s idea of a “Deal” is “Y’all HAVE to do EVERYTHING MY way, or I’ll do what I can to destroy the economy of the entire country to make a point”!
There are a growing number of us here in Kentucky that are totally sick and tired of that senile, “Good-ole-Boy” and are planning on tossing his wrinkled, useless butt out of the Senate next time he’s up for re-election!

When did he become ths sole reason for going over the cliff? Where is Reid, Boehner, Pelosi, and, most importantly, President Obama?

There’s always room for more. Satan has a special room for liberals.

Jesus was a liberal. How does that make you feel, Ima?
