Hi GoComics readers,
Many of you have expressed curiosity and even concern about the comic hiatus for Pat Oliphant's drawings. We wanted to share that Pat is doing well, in good health, but simply on vacation. As soon as when we have an update on the date of his next drawing, we'll share the news here and via social media.
We have wonderful readers. This is an example of the impact that an artist and their work can have on lives and we will continue to value that relationship with you. Thank you.

“Kids today waste all their time on nonsense, lack all common sense, and have no respect for their elders or other people’s property. What IS the world coming to?”
—found inscribed on the inside of a pyramid, just as true then as it is today, but somehow or other, they still grow up and generally turn out all right

Not being able to write cursive is a form of retardation?
Golly.
Wish I had know about that before I started to type everything.

Because violent action films don’t do well in other countries.

‘Kids today’ are NO different than they ever were. Their diversions are different, that’s all.

the Liberal Hollywood culture is to blame for the glorification of violence in TV and movies. Its a shame the media does not hold them accountable.

I am hoping this is snark, because actually they do extremely well overseas. Thoughtful, well acted human stories made by talented directors do badly. Just like the domestic market.

Yeyha, just following that good ole liberal free-market capitalism which gives the customers whatever they wants, as much as they want for a price that gives the movie companies all the profit they want. Hollywood practices some of the most naked conservative capitalism on the planet and don’t kid yourself.
