excellent. It’s more patriotic to buy imported crap at walmart than it is to support a dam union.

Heck, if Walmart had unions, the only part timers would be people that need to work part time, and they all could get health care.

“Right to work” means Right to fire you if you won’t do more work for less money!
    .
Curse you George Orwell! If you hadn’t made us expect to be lied to then we would be outraged by the blatant use of NewSpeak!

I wonder how many of the right wing nut Fox ‘news’ watchers that are members of unions even understand what just happened in Michigan.

Of course I don’t see any Republican arguments about the benefit(s) those who work at a unionized shop receive even though they’re not union members. The union bargained for. I want the benefits but don’t want to pay the dues. Typical Americans wanting something for nothing.

Wal-Mart will never have Unions. They will close down before that happens. Remember when they shut down the meat packers union by outsourcing everything to Tyson?

Walmart did shut down a Quebec store for “lack of sales” because it went union.

The only reason the MI politicians got away with this is that the Republican candidates didn’t tell the public what they would do when they got in office. Had this been a campaign issue, a lot fewer of them would have been elected and this wouldn’t have happened.

I recall some violent union protests in the 70s, when one could argue that they were too powerful, but not much since then. Reagan changed the paradigm when he fired the air traffic controllers 30 years ago.

ScottPM said, “What happened in MI is that people will not be forced to join a union if they don’t want to, nothing more.”

Nothing more? You are missing about 98% of the story.

“,,,you’ll take down their tent with people inside it, and attack anybody who questions why you are doing that…”

When you threaten a man’s livelihood and decrease his ability to feed his children, you may expect him to fight back.

Too bad they WON’T reject any benefits that the unions might get for their members. To me, the real “takers” in Romney Speak are the people who want what unions can get for workers but who want it for free.

Ghost Towns. I have seen them in Mich. It did not have to happen. The Union’s children have no hope for Jobs. Business was BULLIED until it left the state. Greedy Unions have no one to blame except themselves. ‘Right to Work’ has come to Michigan because people want a JOB. There are NO Jobs when a powerful union runs Business out of town. Look to the German Economy for Responsible Union Behavior.

Funny how people here righteously bash Walmart every day, yet when they were opening a store in my town there were THOUSANDS lined up to work there.

No Right to work means you do not need to be a Slave to the Union Brass who steal your money each pay period and cost you 1/2 pf your pay and even your job.
