Hi GoComics readers,
Many of you have expressed curiosity and even concern about the comic hiatus for Pat Oliphant's drawings. We wanted to share that Pat is doing well, in good health, but simply on vacation. As soon as when we have an update on the date of his next drawing, we'll share the news here and via social media.
We have wonderful readers. This is an example of the impact that an artist and their work can have on lives and we will continue to value that relationship with you. Thank you.

Funny stuff! Ah pageantry, ain’t it grand? Love the priest’s handshake, kinda like milking a cow.

Not milking a cow so much as picking a pocket, when it comes to most priests, reverends, clerics, bishops, Popes, televangelists, ayatollahs……is there anybody here I haven’t offended?

@Godfreydaniel
Atheists perhaps.

I’m an atheist myself, but I keep it very quiet since most of the atheist I see go out of their way to be offensive to others who are not.

Johannes Brahms, as quoted by Oscar Levant:
.
“If there is anyone here whom I have not insulted, I beg his pardon.”
.
And another quote from Brahms I found while verifying the above:
.
“Those who enjoy their own emotionally bad health and who habitually fill their own minds with the rank poisons of suspicion, jealousy and hatred, as a rule take umbrage at those who refuse to do likewise, and they find a perverted relief in trying to denigrate them.”
.
O tempora! O mores!

Leo: You may be right, although I have found no evidence of it. Even if true, it is no excuse for deprivation of civil rights.
dfowensby said, 9 months ago
@hippogriff
technically, there is no such category of “civil rights” supported anywhere in the Constitution. deviance and homosexual conduct were dealt with via banishment, or hangings back then. good policy.
