Many of you have expressed curiosity and even concern about the comic hiatus for Pat Oliphant's drawings. We wanted to share that Pat is doing well, in good health, but simply on vacation. As soon as when we have an update on the date of his next drawing, we'll share the news here and via social media.

As with a number of countries, when will we realize it is the LEADERSHIP, not the COUNTRY that should be targeted, like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Cuba, –and maybe occasionally Italy- but they seem to self-destruct on their own.

Mr. Oliphant, you obviously don’t understand the policy set fourth by the Obama administration. Countries that have not signed the NPT are still are the list. Also, even if a country has signed the NPT, it can still be targeted with nuclear weapons if it threatened biological or nuclear weapons. In fact, it’s a policy very similar to Regan’s who talked about how nuclear weapons should be “banished from the face of this earth.”
It’s sad when the Daily Show has better fact checkers than you and most commercial news organizations:
