Oliphant, Best idea I’ve seen today.

” I can’t believe people fell for this Libyans bombed the Lockerbie aircraft bollocks.”

And the Tooth Fairy still rides on.

One of us needs to ask, so might as well be me. Satipera4, who do you think carried out the Lockerbie if not Libya / Gaddafi?

    A court of law decided!!!
Mob Law, or the judgment of fools, is not the “Rule of Law.” Only conspiracy theorists commenting on a comic strip can try to obscure the truth.
Only in America is it necessary to justify compassionate release by trying to make the convicted look innocent. Otherwise, we Americans do not know what compassion means when it comes to retributive justice.

“Please! This is supposed to be a happy occasion! Let’s not bicker and argue over who killed who…”

Well, the US said Libya was responsible for the Berlin disco bombing an dso it bombed the hell out of Tripoli and killed Qadhafi’s daughter. Then oops it turned out Syria was responsible for the bombing.

Did the US apologize or pay reparations for those murders? Not bloody likely.

So you can understand why some of us view with a jaundiced eye any claims that Libya is responsible for Lockerbie.

Hey, Qaddafi’s a good guy now…Bush made him renounce terrorism and give up his WMD programs, remember?

At least that’s what the neo-cons were saying at the time Muammar made that announcement.

Nobody knows who did it for sure. The suspicion has fallen on Syrian/Iranian state or non state actors. ”

Where have you been hiding? Lybya admitted responsibility 6 years ago. The location of the bomb (hidden in a radio), the point where it was loaded (Malta), and the persons responsible have been known for over a decade!!!

The failed mission to bomb the colonel was for pushing an old dude in a wheelchair off a ship. We also lost an F-111 crew, so another screw-up actually.

No Can do. ‘W’ Removed Libya and Gaddafi from the Terror Watch List before he left Office. Yes, ‘W’, a Republican Supports Terrorists and Terrorism with the stroke of a Pen.

Apparently some don’t know (or care) that it is possible for other people to change directions in their lives and they have no internal cathartic mechanism to get on with their own lives. If you can’t let go of the past, you’ll die at least mentally of enraged madness.

The F111 raid on Libya was the last “Hurrah”, for that venerable aircraft. I served in the 48TFW during its initial deployment to RAF Lakenheath in 1977. When I left they were just transitioning to FLIR and Laser guided weapons. Some Aardvarks were modified to ECM and used in 41s Gulf War, but now they are all in the bone yard., a legacy of brave men overcoming the stupidity of R.S. MacNamara. The RAAF still uses the F111C because nothing else can match it range and payload on their Northern Sea Frontiers.

And the Republicans call that flip-flopping.
