“Oboy”? Racism isn’t cute no matter how you try to disguise it.

If anyone wondered where “Oldlegodad” is coming from, just look at the abbreviation he’s come up with for our President: “Oboy”.
How many of the black readers of this forum are happy being called “Boy”? Or having our new President being called “Boy”?
Talk about opening a “can of worms”!!!

I long for the day when Cheney is sent to the Hague for war crimes trials.

Lego’s not the bad man here. It’s that little bald b@stard.
As I recall, Lego called out Stewie for his race baiting.

Oh my God, you are all SO quick to call somebody racist!! People called Bush “Georgie Boy” and that wasn’t racist. I say “oh, boy” all the time and it’s not racist. When I saw Oboy, I thought of “Oh, boy,” not a racial slur. Some of you libs need to look at where your mind is that you see racism hiding behind every corner!!

Getting back to the ‘toon, the lid is gonna blow on this one…I’ll put money on it. And have you noticed that now Oliphant has a much smaller Cheney than he used to? It’s all a matter of proportion: Cheney vs. Bush or Cheney vs. Obama.

Adora68, in the sixties you would have been labled as a”copp out”. See the selfimagery hasnt changed over all the years

Adora68: “Some of you libs need to look at where your mind is…” As you are addressing libs as a plural noun, you need to be consistently plural thoughout your sentence, as in “where your minds are…”

Doesn’t anyone remember Alan Sherman’s wonderful 1960’s song “Oh Boy”?

Bush had nicknames for about everyone he knew. To his credit, he never publicly used one that was mean-spirited or intending insult. Even “nicknames” used for Bush were generally reflective on his actions, rather than intentionally insulting. That is not the case with many of the quite intentional insults directed in blogs with regard to our current president.

Oliphant has it right in that all the domestic problems Obama is facing are urgent but investigating Cheney’s role in outing Valarie Plame and in conducting torture programs is still something the American people have to process.

Welcome none.of.the.above. It’s a fun ride most of the time.
Regarding the cartoon, Obama’s going to have to do some investigation, or this won’t go away.

Sooky Rottweiler says;
Bush named Rove “turd blossom”. What the pup is that? The closest thing I know to that are turd mushrooms.When I was a pup at the dairy farm, teenagers came to pick some mush rooms that grew near where the cows had just “gone to the hydrant” Gross! Even by canine standards. Or jobs, aside from keeping the cows, was also to chase them out.

Even if they manage to get a hearing, the right folks won’t end up behind bars – it will be some flunkie like Oliver North in Irangate. I would have liked to have seen prosecution while the criminals werein office but why waste time & money just making a point now?
