the last line says it all the people need to learn that you can not legislate morality and remember the many things that mark twain said about politics and take it all with a handful of salt!

Oli is usually correct. Notice I did not say “right” but be careful on what you want in health care.

Lego, is it too much to ask that your comments be related to the strip? Do you have to link to the same healthcare article in 15 strips that had nothing to do with healthcare?

I sense the ghost of Walt Kelly and POGO in this cartoon…!

The last line is the utter truth. I’m so amazed at the “lefties” and “righties” who post here who are, in actually, just part wonks who’ve drunk the Kool-Aid and “stand by their man” whether he’s correct or not.
The so-called “liberals” who are making excuses for Obama are no different than the so-called “conservatives” who supported every crazy thing Bush did. I have very little respect for either group.
As a conservative, I find myself less well-served by the Republican party every day. I think that true liberals feel the same way about the Democrats.

Gotta agree with Skip. I could just see Pogo and one of his little animal pals walking off into the sunset, and the last panel was so true, just like Uncle Walt would have nailed it!

Not at all, the whole purpose of both political parties is the perpetuation of power and retaining that hold, policy included (as Milton Friedman and Jonah Goldberg have both contended), as with the current push to repeal the 22nd Amendment by Jose Serrano. I honestly don’t give a hooping funt who is in office, regardless of race, creed, or color, they’re all “japes” anyway. I wish the dynastic leech wouldn’t permeate politics: Clinton, Kennedy, Bush, and now Rory Reid, son of Whorehouse Harry, seeking the governorship of Nevada.
