Gee–before it was Bush and not the Congress that was to blame–now it is the Repubs in Congress to blame; ain’t the media just wonderful

PAJ, clue me in. Just how is it the medias’ fault that the republicans are trying to block the bill? Oh yeah the press reported who voted how, man was that irresponsible of them ;oD

PAJ, I blamed the Congress, too, which followed Bush’s lame policies to the letter.
Personally, I’d cut the ropes…and I was very pleased to see Obama confronting them on this. The Republicans have now come out attacking him personally (instead of the Pelosi & Reid show), but polls show very clearly that the American public knows who to blame, and knows that Obama made concessions to these (let us never forget) losers.

the only stimulus Republicans regard as effective is a cattle prod

Humph–I did not say it was the media’s fault–it is just that the Dems in Congress never get it wrong (although they were in charge the last six years)according to the press. And “deny”–that is not a Repub ownership.

PAJ, you’ll have to forgive me for being on the moon and not knowing the Dems were in charge the last six years. Oh yeah, reference deny not being a Repub ownership. Then guess I’ll deny that I was on the moon all that time.

Yeah, the Dems took charge in 2003. Didn’t you know that Tom DeLay was secretly a DEMOCRAT?
GAD, these righties are hilarious! First it was, “The economy expanded under Bush” ( See Jim Morin’s latest ) and now it’s “The Dems have been in charge for the last six years.”
Nothin’ like a nice swim in an Egyptian river is there neo-cons?

PAJ, insert fact check … the Demos gained a majority in the House of Reps in Jan. 07, that’s a fact, readily verifiable. The Dems kinda, sort of gained a majority in the Senate in Jan. 07 by including two independents who tended to vote with the Dems. Wbich is nine votes short of ending the inane 60-vote filibuster rule. One of the those two independent votes was Sen. Leiberman, who campaigned with McCain, harshly criticized the Dem presidential candidate and was widely rumored to be McCain’s actual choice for VP nominee. That’s not what I’d call a real majority, more like 50-50. In any case, the key fact here is:
JAN of 2007 is NOT six years ago.
end of fact check
