Mr. President-Elect Barack Obama. I know it is suppose to be hard to quit smoking. But imiagian yourself strapped to a gurney being loaded into an ambulance with a heart attack.Your daughters are worriedly looking in at you, reach into your shirt pocket and throw them your LAST pack of cigarettes and say,”Get rid of these for me.”
That is what I did with my 10yr old son on 20OCT2000. Cold Turkey. never had another one. I can’t have another one, for him.

He sure is. Retired at 63, in 1999, and is now 71, spent at least 3 yrs in the Air Force, has an 18 year old son, who I hope does not smoke, and yet cannot break the Republican habit.

Actually, I understand OLD71. I’m the only one in my family who doesn’t smoke. I never started because I saw what my parents went through.
Every morning I wake up to the sound of my boyfriend coughing…I know it can’t be good…

To stop smoking is easy. Why I quit six times last year. Actaully it was quite a while ago. Motivation: the
Doc yelled (Yes, he indeed yelled) at me “You idiot keep somking and I’ll be removing that leg in two months”, since I got the idea he might be serious I quit. I now have a lot more to spend on my models.

DHL 28+ years to be exact. Neither son ever smoked. They couldn’t stand how I stank. Nothing worse than a reformed drunk or smoker. Well I still drink too much but I can smell a smoker from 30 paces now. Quadruple all tobacco taxes!!
Ms Frog, kick him out til he quits. The coughing just gets worse until you stop. But you still have reduced lung capacity for life(COPD they call it)
