The stale Hot air that keeps “The Boat” afloat is deflating as we speak, no outside help will be needed for this baby to reach the muddy depths soon.

But thanks for the offer just the same Baba ….

    Just noticed, Stew…Dali Bama?

You mean he has a long ‘stash and does weird paintings?

“Simple Simon - you JUST noticed? Those of some keen powers of observation that you have there. No wonder you are an Obamabot with that attention you have to detail.”

StewieZ, I read about 20 editorial cartoons on-line each day, and never bothered to read the comments, until today. What I noticed is that you seem to comment a lot across the on-line editorial cartoon spectrum.

I also notice that you like to categorize and label people in your posts, for whatever reason. “Libtard,” “Obamabot,” “Kos Klown,” “Dhimocrats,” “Herbie the Obama Bug,” and more. Not that your targets are innocent – Simon_Jester and others seem to have no problem slinging labels in their comments to you…

But, this time it looks like Simon_Jester has a point. Your response quoted above to his pointing out that caliing Barack Obama “Dali Bama” didn’t make sense implies that you intended the analogy all the time, and he was stupid for not noticing it. That doesn’t hold water. Salvador Dali in no way rhymes with Barack Obama, while Dahli Lama has both a rhyming portion and conveys your contempt of people who you feel have anointed him the chosen one.

Maybe this time you should admit that Simon-Jester might have you here, and add the “h” in the future to your “Dali Bama” label. Perhaps you can borrow the one in “Dhimocrats”?

Uhhh, just one lil’ol problem there Stew M’boy.

You didn’t notice YOUR mistake at all. Not till someone else poitned it out to you.

Which, by the way, is a near-perfect analogy for how Neandercons think and act; ignore their own screwups, and then attack the messenger who points them out.

WPerk: I hear what you’re saying, so I think you’re entitled to an explanation as to why I go after Stew nonstop the way I do,

It’s because I got sick and tired of day after day, coming here to read my favorite political cartoons…and instead being treated to the ‘clever comments’ of a right-wing troll.

Were there another option for dealing with this nudnik, I’d take it in a heartbeat. If this forum had an ‘ignore’, allowing me to filter out this or that member’s comments, I’d long since have clicked, and been done with it. Or…if there were moderators here, I’d have reported Stew for trolling weeks ago and THAT would have been the end of it.

But this isn’t a moderated forum and you CAN’T filter out anyone’s comments.

I tried, I really tried to be patient, and wait for Stew to get bored and knock it off…but I’ve seen his kind of troll many times before. Ignoring these guys is about an effective a method for handling the problem as ignoring carpenter ants. If you don’t respond to their posts, their attitude is, “Ha! Everyone’s afraid to answer me, coz they KNOW I’m right.”

That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it…except let me point out one more thing.

It’s only when STEW starts slinging slinging clever, little names that I turn it loose on him. He made a perfectly legit comment about the Steve Benson Olympic Torch cartoon…and so, I let that one slide.

Simon_Jester, though I share your irritation with garbage coming out of StewieZ let me offer a bit of advice my Grandmother once gave me - “you shouldn’t wrestle with a pig. You both get muddy and the pig loves it”.

Seriously, maybe it IS time for me to back off on this…at least for a while.

Wise move Simon - the pig saying is great - I tend to keep going ling after my point is make - doesn’t help the discussion.

“2) the use of Dali Bama, as opposed to the Dalai Bama is that I don’t intend to insult the Dalai Lama by comparing him to Obama. So, no, Simpleton fails. Yet again.”

StewZ, this doesn’t make any sense. If you don’t want to insult the Dalai Lama (I noticed you use the alternate spelling – no “h” for you), why even use the term in the first place? No matter how it is spelled, people are going to make the association anyway, no matter what you intend… But, whatever. This is a 5-day-old editorial cartoon that is still getting comments, now pretty off-topic…
