Well, you got what you asked for aren’t you happy? Maybe you should have wished for a new skateboard instead?

“There are two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.”

    So true, Oscar.

Another one that fits is, “When the Gods wish to punish us, they answer our prayers.”

I remember seeing a show on tv about expensive desserts, this ice cream sundae had gold specks and jewels in it. I think it sold for several thousand dollars. Myself, I’m happy with a bowl of Chocolate Therapy.

With today’s inflation, and available flavors, that’s only about a gallon and half of super premium. One kid can easily decimate that.

That dragon is one smart father. Reminds me of Calvin’s Dad saw him smoking. Instead of stopping him, he made Calvin smoke every last cigarette in the pack. Suffice it to say Calvin was so sick and sickened he never wanted another ever again.

Definitely one of my favorites, from Oscar or anyone else. I’m surprised I didn’t think of it right off, though the one I did remember could work here, too:

“The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it.”

Play on Magnum Force? That’s one of my favorite movie lines when Clint Eastwood says (several times), “A man’s got to know his limitations.”

Yes about a secret death squad operating inside the San Francisco police department. I wonder how many would welcome that now as a real life version?
