    Absence of proof is not proof of absence. Maybe he’s just faking not being there. Did you check the back half of the basement?

    Search the bilge…..they always hide in the bilge….of course he still has that pesky sea monster to contend with unless he was deep enough to suffer from a touch of nitrogen narcosis. Just hallucinated a little.

    This occurs below 90 meters (over 300 feet) commonly.
    But remember we are talking about Commander Bullock. He might get the problem holding his head under in the bath tub.
    Actually everyone knows about Chessie the Chesapeake sea serpent. Bullock would have been more excited at seeing a kraken.
    Aint been one of those in the Chesapeake Bay in many, many, many years.
