Verne’s model is almost as big as the one in Spinal Tap.

Verne should visit Alliance, Nebraska and see Car Henge. A replica of Stone Henge made out of old cars.

No druids at this stonehenge in Washington:
one really cool thing is that the pillars tend to block the winds. One day while driving the Gorge, it was winds of 40+ constantly and higher gusts. A friend and I stopped at stonehenge, went inside the WWI memorial and could almost not feel the wind at all, but we could see out in all directions. Love to know what created that effect. It would work well as a windbreak in places like the Plains. Plant trees in a “stonehenge configuration”

after the summer soltice, the days will be getting shorter, and the nights longer, unless you live at the equator. or, the southern hemisphere.

It’s always summer (supplemented with the rainy season) here in the Philippines where the days and nights are more or less the same duration all year. I like it here…

We got squirrel pieces all over the place! Bob the squirrel yelled his tail off, and Verne talked Hammy’s ears off!

I much prefer to live by the traditional calendar where the Summer Solstice is Mid-Summer’s Day. Makes more sense.

No druids were harmed in the making of this strip.

Surprising he didn’t use some of the counterfeit Twinkies to build Stonehenge.

I thought that was still just a theory for what Stonehenge was…
