Over the Hedge, created by T Lewis and Michael Fry, takes a freshly skewed look at suburban living from the perspective of the animals who lived there first. The strip stars RJ, a mischievous raccoon, and Verne, his sensitive best-buddy turtle. Together they fight to save their wooded wonderland from the evils of encroaching suburbia but end up becoming distracted by wide-screen TVs, discarded fast food containers and the fun of wreaking havoc on the local homeowners' association.

I sense an otherwise engaging, fun comic going left-wing, liberal political

sad…the sometimes funny comic turns political…time to drop this one

So now the stage is set for a looooong list of reply comments about zero having sold his soul long ago / has no soul / is the devil incarnate/antichrist, etc… Commence fire on the comment line
-—- only fair however, as any objective observation would have to note that O’s rise to the Oval Office could not have possibly happened without SOME type of powerful influence… Satan? the DNC? Secret societies? Inquiring minds wish to know…TheTrustedMechanic said, 8 months ago

" Inquiring minds wish to know…"
The will never be satisfied, jut like with his birth certificate, testimony from the delivering doctor, hospital records, etc. etc. etc. Teh right will never be satisfied not matter how many records are provided. But you are correct, President Obama did have a pretty accelerated rise. Adn it does make one pause ot wonder how.

To those righties whining about the strip going “liberal,” it is known that the creators are to the left of center. One ‘toon poking fun at robme is not a reason to get your knickers in a twist. Now if this story arc keeps going this way, then yes complain away, I will and I can’t stand the corporate raider. Otherwise just suck it up buttercup, not every news story and cartoon everyday is going to be a glowing praise of the liar nor is it going to be a slam against the President. Reality is what reality is, Mitt Romney has many character flaws and if you don’t like them being pointed out and poked fun of, recruit the deity himself next time.
.
But as to the cartoon, we let the whole Richard Scary thing go, but please guys, don’t turn our woodland friends into political shills. It’s not pretty and that’s what the editorial section is for.

No sweat dude – but I am dropping your toon from my morning “to view” list.

They were going to do a deal with Obama for his soul. But it fell through when they realized he didn’t have a soul.

Sorry, this one crosses the line from light hearted fun poking to flagrant political posturing. Sad to see one of my fav comics go south in such a fashion.

Well … I guess Lewis and Fry felt they had to get in the game, since everyone else is going political.
Of course, the libtards would be angry if he said “Obama” instead of “Romney”.
So, we go back to Blondie. She is never political. She just wants to keep her catering business and keep Dagwood out of trouble.
