Recently found in the Mojave Desert: a 11,673 year old Twinkie.

    Still edible.

Well, since there are NO organic ingredients in a Twinkie, why should they go stale?
I understand the main hull insulation on the starship U.S.S.Enterprise was a layer of 20th. Century Twinkies, discovered in a cave under the San Francisco Starfleet Yards!
They stood up to repeated Phaser and Disruptor fire surprisingly well!

I have yet to find even a fresh Twinkie® I would consider edible.

You’ve never tried a chocolate covered Twinki. Anything is better with chocolate on it.

I thought those “glow lines” coming out of the Twinkie were “agitation lines” of the mouse trapped inside.

I wonder if replicators on the NCC1701-D have a hard time trying to make an artificial treat taste natural?!

There are strict food laws on star ships. Twinkies aren’t food in any real sense.

A little known fact, but the shelf life of a twinkie is only about 30 days.

    Believe it!

the county fair has a food vendor that sells DEEPFRIED TWINKIES, amongst other deepfried foods. I prefer the SNICKERS.

That’s still longer tham most commercial baked goods, largely due to the fact that there are no perishable dairy products used in Twinkies.

Maybe it’s Egon’s psychokinetic energy Twinkie from Ghostbusters.
