Good Morning Crew. Time to put pumpkins away, and pin a blood drawing poppy to the left lapel of your coat. Lest we Forget, right?

Ooooh, good meals offered to you vets on 11/11. Olive Garden, Applebees, Red Robin, etc. etc. etc. Last year at Applebees a Boy Scout troop came in with leaders and the young boys went around to all the tables, had an honor guard. Some vets had tears. LEST WE FORGET…….WE will never forget.
    Make a pumpkin pie, mouse!

Remember…there was a crooked man, he had a crooked house, he had a crooked cat and he had a crooked mouse……and, that looks like a crooked mouse in the strip today.

@Vice Admiral Allan Just turned on my computer today and got caught up on my comics. Sorry to hear you were sick. Hope you are feeling better. I had sinusitis and kept sneezing so hard my head hurt and I didn’t want to keep my eyes open very long.

I slept about 18 hours on Wednesday and Thursday last week, 12 on Friday, 10 on Saturday, and around 2 on Sunday morning. Around 8 this morning so I’m feeling a BIT better.

@Dry re the blood yesterday. I talked to my Aunt, who has been a nurse since the late 1970’s .. .we agree it was either a) my nose bleeding after being clogged or b) the back of my throat, as I’m “harumfing” to try to dislodge phlegm and clear the throat, so it’s overly sore, and probable that I ‘tore’ the lining a small bit. She said if it gets worse to go to ER>

Allan my mom was a nurse. In fact, she was a LT. in the Army Nurse Corps. in World War 2! I think nurses sometimes know more than the doctors, especially, the ones who weren’t “BOOK LEARNED” as much as being on the floor and being trained. I can remember my mom ironing her WHITE uniforms, NO SLACKS in her day, which she wouldn’t have worn anyway, not professional. And starching and ironing her Nurses Cap. Back in the day, the nurses would wear their nursing school pin on their caps. Now you can’t tell a nurse from a nurses aide, or the cleaning ladies for that matter. Sad.
