Don't miss the daily misadventures of cartoonist Chip Dunham's clever crew of shipboard malcontents, incompetents and laggards. Overboard stands out with a pointed wit that has dagger-sharp timing and effect.
Louie, the ship's faithful dog, is the center of attention of the adventures on land and at sea. His human companions not only have to deal with Louie and his requests, but also the many problems they face living at sea, like dolphins eating their garden, and sea monsters taunting Louie. The entertaining exchanges between Louie and the humans on the ship will have readers coming back for more of this cast-away comedy. Man overboard!

I can’t blame Louie. I’m not a cat person either, and I hate it when people (especially my daughter) start talking about their cats. She’ll spend two hours and go through three Walmarts looking for her cat’s favorite food. It’’s totally disgusting.

Louie’s tough. Personally, I am 100% a cat person … although Louie and Raymond here are the best.
Happy Sunday, Crew.

Humans own animals to have control over something. They feel powerless in their lives, so they get some kind of animal and this gives them the illusion of control in their lives. Plus the billions wasted in keeping the animals under their control.

LEST WE FORGET
I’m glad to see happyathome hasn’t forgotten … but nearly every cartoonist has decided their strips are too good/important for posting Remembrance/Armistice/Veterans Day accolades in. SHAME ON YOU CHIP!

@Allan
See my comment @ Birdbrains. We need to laugh, as well as remember.

@Citizen GROG!
There are 363 other days of the year to laugh. Twice a year – 9/11 and 11/11 – shouldn’t be hard for cartoonists to post a simple strip remembering. Should it?

I disagree. I don’t need a comic strip to be reminded of the service men & women who have fought for our freedom and those who have lost their lives. I think it’s enough that Chip said hug a Vet. I don’t know how many strips you read but I’ve seen a fair share of remembrance strips. Some of them were very touching & sombre. But life as we know it, goes on. It gives cartoonists the freedom to choose the subject and us the freedom to read them or not.
Personally, I think that we should think about it every time we see a service man – not just twice or three time a year as is the case down here.
