   I first read this at 1:30AM and I didn’t even notice that the panels appear to be mirror images of each other. I wonder if it’s a mistake in th printing process or was Chip in the rum? :-)

    I expect that Louie only heard “take food” the rest was extraneous.

    I don’t think I’ve met a dog yet that would not take food from strangers if it was tasty. My dogs have always refused the healthy “treats” the vet offers, but potato chips? That’s how strangers become friends!

    Two trains of thought:
    1 Definition of “stranger” changes to not include anyone offering food
    2 Louie is quite literally not “taking the food from the stranger” - he is eating it AND the stranger.

    My dogs have always thought anyone with food is a friend. The cashiers at Pet Smart have treats. It took Moxie 1 visit to figure this out. She stops at the register even if we don’t buy anything.

    Ok … so I’m noticing several differences …

    1 - Charlies face is in the same direction (thus, it’s not a DIRECT flip)
    2 - Charlies leg is crossed in #2, but not #1
    3 - The Tree is slightly different …

    so while it LOOKS like a flip, I’m guessing Chip just did it to mess with our minds! :P

    I guess either Chip reversed the second panel or the person who put it on the site reversed it. Otherwise Louie has found a new best friend till the next treat or till Captain Crow puts the burgers on the grill. :-)

    Since day one of reading the first Overboard comic strip, I’ve always had an enhanced chuckle with the imperfections of some of Chip’s comic strips! Keep up the great gags Chip. Pardon monsieur,but does your dog bite?
