His human companions not only have to deal with Louie and his requests, but also the many problems they face living at sea, like dolphins eating their garden, and sea monsters taunting Louie. The entertaining exchanges between Louie and the humans on the ship will have readers coming back for more of this cast-away comedy. Man overboard!

I guess this answers the question on if the crew really are pirates or “mice”. I noticed that the descprition of the strip doesn’t refer to them as pirates, but cast-aways. I think the captain should get a cat, or at least have one come to “visit”.

The real solution is to bring a Cat on Board. Cat = end of Mice. Then the Captain will not be pestered by that Female Mouse that wants to jump his bones.

I think the “pirates” have always gone overboard (ha ha) regarding the mice. While not a cat person, I’d like to see a good, clever cat arrive for a while. Oddly enough, while I am a dog person, can’t understand the conundrum of a dog who can speak (apologies owed to Dean Koontz) and one who can only, apparently, communicate through thought transference. Go figure.
