    David, it reminds me of an outraged political cartoon. Apparently Mssrs. George & Alexander had a race and it was a dead heat, causing the journalists to speculate on the possibility of a conspiracy to fool them.

    I’ve seen one or two examples of the Journal Tigers before. I don’t know why, but I rather like them.

    It was all a trick to get the money.
    Get the bets hedged, make all kinds of pre-race publicity then tie at the end.
    Both get paid.
    Tigers are sneaky that way you know.
