I once heard that the crankiest older people were really nice when they were younger, and vice versa. Not sure if it’s true but it’s an interesting thought.

If that be so I will be a very sweet old lady because as a kid I was very cranky!

Ruth is so clever. She almost left Ms. Avis speechless.

If certain adults talk a lot to make up for lost time, does this mean Ruthie will be very quiet when she grows up?

I believe that it’s a jump rope dear.

All the best for the holidays to artist and audience alike.

Ruthie great point with Avis. You will become a great writer with wit and witticism.

Maybe it just seems that way, especially with people who did very little complaining in their younger years. As they age and get more aches and pains, they have more to complain about. They may still try to maintain their dignity in old age, but sometimes that may not be possible. I know personally a persistent ache or pain has an adverse affect on my personality.

I have always been a non-conformist and quirky and I continue to be as I get nearer to 80. But I’m still having lots of . . fun.

I agree that I SHOULD correct people about holiday/Christmas, but if they sound happy, why would I sour their mood?
