Why doesn’t an adult do something about James always being dirty and somewhat socially inept, even for a kid?

    Ha-ha-ha . . . . is what I said when I read today’s strip. :)

When done infrequently but correctly, I feel spanking is effective.

At least, that’s what I felt when I happened to me that ONE time as a child. That’s all it took!

That James is a bad seed. He’ll probably be arrested for shoplifting or grand theft auto before the age of nine.

Thanks for the link to a really funny strip. How did you create that?

It is called humor. Don’t you know that if there is a choice between reality and humor—-humor always wins?

    Spanking children never died.

No such thing as a “bad seed” unless you mean he is mentally aberrant in some way.

I don’t know about James here. But in my case no adult cared because they were too busy. Of course I wasn’t stealing, just dirty and hungry.

GoComics accepts certain HTML language components (called tags), with a limited set of options (called attributes), and displays them as it would in any webpage.

To create (in this case) a hyperlink, you use an a tag.

Specifically, the hyperlink that points to

    http://www.creators.com/comics/one-big-happy/112400.html

    using the text string

    big ol’ blabbermouth

    is

    <a href="http://www.creators.com/comics/one-big-happy/112400.html">big ol’ blabbermouth</a>

where, for emphasis, I used boldface for one and italics for the other (you don’t have to do that). If you copy and paste that string, as one long line, into the comment box and hit SUBMIT, you’ll see the hyperlink as a comment. Use it as you would any word.

In the last few months, GoComics has added the target="_blank" setting to list of attributes it accepts — it opens the hyperlink in a new tab/window. So, if you used

    <a href="http://www.creators.com/comics/one-big-happy/112400.html" target="_blank">big ol’ blabbermouth</a>

instead, this page would remain open while the reader visited the hyperlinked page, and wouldn’t have to reload it again after reading that page.

I preferred a spanking to the good ole “talking to”. The “talking to” lasted at least thirty minutes and the spanking was over quickly and I could move on to my next escapade.
