What if the neighbors wife invites you over, is it “bothering” then? :)

Don’t eat grapes in the supermarket?! I missed that one. My mom did that all the time. It’s how she made sure they were okay. I don’t do it because they need to be washed first. Blegh.

If you read the story of Moses in the Bible you will be amazed at how much of what you thought you knew actually came from the movies. I refer of course to the movies from the ‘50s and ’60s. I have no idea what’s in the pseudo-Biblical movies of the past 40 years.

You can bet they’d probably be R or X rated.

Is there such an idyllic place anymore as the one where James and Ruthie are sitting? A hill overlooking fields and the town?

I wondered if 1985’s “King David”, starring R-star Richard Gere, was, but it was PG-13. Still, when I was teaching a 3rd-5th grade Sunday School unit on David I noted that it only talked about his annointing and his fight with Goliath, pondered, and realized that everything else he did WAS the stuff of Richard Gere movies.

Dreamworks’ 1998 animated “Prince of Egypt” was just plain PG. And silly.

Maybe the teacher used it as an example of “Thou shalt not steal.”
