Use Cyclene as a target. Everything would be a bull’s-eye.

The first thing I noticed about the strip was that the extended family was made up of almost boringly normal people, and everyone else (except April Mae) essentially was someone you’d rather not know or have your kids know. I think Cylene is actually rather entertaining. (A valuable trait in a cartoon character.) I think she should hit on Joe, but in a Cylene way, not as some adoring moppet. Ruthie has Buggy after all, and even Cylene isn’t that obnoxious.
Joe seems rather proud of himself. Anyone can follow the rules. A superior person makes his own.
